Full-time (40 hours, 5 days) Research Scientists – Mapping and Localization are needed in Brookshire, TX office to
Architect reliable localization system for self-driving upon a multi-sensor fusion based approach.
Develop efficiency, accurate, and scalable multi-sensor calibration system in full automation to reduce marginal costs.
Optimize map building pipeline and operation process, and lead the design of online HD-map changing detection.
Apply simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) and other research findings for designing and developing a robust system for large scale 3D map construction.
Perform code review and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to ensure the quality of implementation, and analyze and identify potential safety concerns.
Position requires Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field; with minimum 5 years’ experience in mapping and localization in the autonomous vehicle industry to include the following: architect localization system for self-driving; design and implement calibration system; design and implement online pose estimation solutions; build HD-map for autonomous driving, and proficiency in algorithms, machine learning, robotics, data structures and complexity, C/C++, Python.
