Full-time (40 hours, 5 days) System Engineers – Onboard Infrastructure are needed in Brookshire, TX office to

• Develop software solutions for Bot Auto’s systems. Define requirements for our vehicle system.

• After the software has been developed, test the system to ensure that it’s functioning correctly in a variety of environments and conditions to ensure that it can operate safely and reliably.

• Identify performance issues that need to be addressed, track and document these issues.

• Refine the system once tested to improve its performance. Adjust the algorithms or software components to improve the vehicle’s ability.

• Responsible for providing real-time, continuous and high precision middleware for autonomous driving. Troubleshoot technical issues in Bot Auto’s platform and enhance it to fit requirements from the algorithm teams.

• Ensure that the software system maintains a continuously healthy and performant status.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field; with a minimum 18 months’ experience in onboard software developing, testing, and performance tuning in the autonomous vehicle industry, including the following: design and develop onboard software system, integrate and test onboard software for quality assurance, Optimize onboard software performance; and proficiency in C / C++, CMake, Python, Linux Profiling.
