Full-time (40 hours, 5 days) Research Engineers – Mechanical Design are needed in BOT AUTO TX INC’s Brookshire, TX office to

• Analyze sensors’ capability and design sensor rack for autonomous trucks.

• Develop sensor cleaning systems for autonomous trucks, ensuring sensors’ reliability in adverse weather.

• Design and validate ruggedized servers, develop testing plans such as random vibration, temperature loop, and so on.

• Design server rack cabinet for equipment such as servers, VCUs, GNSS.

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings, write SOPs, and prepare technical documentation.

• Manage truck retrofitting process and perform function testing on vehicle subsystems.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field; minimum 3 year’ experience in conceptualizing and creating mechanical design in the autonomous driving industry to include the following: designing and developing sensor cleaning system; designing server chassis products and performing reliability testing; designing mechanical structure and performing mechanical design analysis; and proficiency in SoildWorks, mechanical simulation tools.
